YearEndStatements is run by Gold Standard Web LLC (“we”). Churches use it to make and send year-end giving statements from their Planning Center Giving data. This page explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
Who this covers
Church staff who sign in, and donors whose giving records the church uses to make statements. For donor data, the church decides what to send and to whom; we process it on the church's behalf.
What we collect
- From Planning Center, with the church admin's permission: gifts (dates, amounts, funds, how they were given), and donors' names, email addresses, mailing addresses, household and membership information.
- From the church: its name, address, logo, signature image, and the messages it puts on statements.
- From the person who signs in: their Planning Center user id. We never see their Planning Center password.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We don't see or store card numbers.
How we use it
Only to make, send and keep a record of the church's giving statements, and to bill the church. We don't sell data, show ads, or use donor data for anything else. We don't use it to train AI.
How long we keep it
- Gift details and donor names for a statement run: 30 days, then deleted.
- Statement PDFs: 30 days after sending, then deleted.
- Delivery log (Planning Center person id, email address, sent/bounced status, date): until the church disconnects.
- When a church disconnects, we delete everything we hold for it right away and remove our access to its Planning Center account.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the app, each for its own job:
- Netlify (hosting and file storage), Neon (database): United States.
- Resend (sending statement emails): receives the donor's email address and their statement PDF.
- Stripe (billing): receives the church's billing details only.
Security
Access keys, stored files and statement data are encrypted. Each church can only see its own data. We never change anything in a church's Planning Center account.
Donors
If you received a statement and have a question about it, please contact your church; they control your records. You can also email us at hello@goldstandardweb.com and we'll pass your request to the church.
